"God is Aware and Cares"
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.” Psalm 103: 13
God is a caring, compassionate Father. He loves you more than you will ever understand. The Bible tells us: God is love. He is loving towards you in everything that He does. He has compassion and care for you at all times.
Most of the disciples were fishermen. One day, when they were on a lake, Jesus got tired; curled up and went to sleep. Perhaps you know the rest? A storm came up and they were really, really afraid. They were fishermen on a lake that frequently had storms. They should have known what to do.
So I suspect this was a really big storm that really frightened them. And they tried to wake Jesus and were shouting at Him, “Lord, don’t you care?”
Perhaps, in the midst of life you’ve asked the same question. Don’t you care about my marriage, my health, my money or my relationships? How about my kids? The answer is God cares. He wants to help more than you want help. He knows what will help you more than you know what will help you. He is aware and cares.
If you knew and felt how much He cares, you couldn’t help but love Him back. If you feel like God is a million miles away, it’s because you don’t understand the kind of caring Father He really is.
The good news is that understanding that is the first step to inner peace.
Peace in the Lord,
