"Afraid of Making the Wrong Decision"

“He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.”
Psalm 23b NIV

Ever been afraid of making the wrong decision?  Felt stressed out by it?  God says there’s an antidote to our indecision.  Psalm 23 tells us, “He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake.”  How we handle the stress of decision-making is by letting God guide us.

I know some of you are saying, “I’ve tried this!”  You ask God to guide you and then became more confused.  You still couldn’t figure it out.

You might even wonder, “Why is knowing God’s will so difficult?”  Is God playing games with me?  Of course not!  The problem is we often look for the wrong thing when we’re trying to find God’s will.

Some look for a feeling.  If it makes us feel good we assume it must be God’s will.  Some like a methodical approach: a recipe or formula that could be applied to every situation.

Others take a magical approach and look for God to do some fantastic sign that will reveal what they should do.  All of these ways lead to frustration and often cause us to miss God’s will.

God doesn’t want you to be confused or stressed out over a decision.  He is guiding you, every step of the way.  That’s His promise.

Just read your Bible and you’ll understand.

Peace in the Lord,

Pastor Don
