"Miracles Always Come from
“’My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,’ said the Lord. ‘And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.’" Isaiah 55: 8 NLT
We all have needs that we want met. We often try to figure out how to get them fulfilled. I know I often find myself giving God suggestions (read that as tell God) how to do it. That means I’m trying to control God. It doesn’t work.
The source of the miracle may not be where you think it’s going to come from. It’s always unexpected. Remember God told Abraham he was going to have a son. Abraham kept on asking Him when and where. When he didn’t get the answer he wanted, he and Sarah took it into their own hands.
When Ishmael was born they thought they had it made. But God said, “No! That’s not the one I promised. That’s the one you came up with, using your plan, not my plan. My plan is going to use your life to do a miracle.”
When you’re looking for a miracle and, do it your own way, it’s not really a miracle. It’s second best. God’s way is always best. If you were God you’d understand that. You’re not God and you don’t understand it.
Here’s the deal: trust God! You’ll get what you need. It may not be what you wanted, but it will be what you need. Even if it seems like what He’s telling you to do doesn’t make sense, obey Him. That’s how miracles come about.
Peace in the Lord,
