"Help Each Other by Faith"
“Help each other with the faith we have. Your faith will help me and my faith will help you.” Romans 1: 2 NCV
There are people all around you with low self-esteem, because everybody has some insecurity. In fact, studies now are showing us that if you are rejected earlier in life it has much more serious implications for your life.
You might say that when people say to you, “You’re not going to amount to anything. You don’t matter,” they’re really cursing you. What do you do in that situation? How do you reverse a curse?
You believe what Jesus says instead of believing what other people say about you. Jesus said you are a child of God. God has no orphan children. He has given you gifts and abilities to enable you to do all the things that He wants you to do.
Jesus was in the business of affirming people. He reminded them that they were children of God. He wants them to know that God had made them and blessed them with gifts and abilities.
Just look at this verse He spoke, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9: 23b) And in John 14: 12 we hear, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”
How is that possible? When Jesus Christ was physically on earth He could only be in one place at a time. Now Jesus puts the Spirit in you and me, along with anyone who believes in Him. Jesus believes you can do great works because you have the Holy Spirit in you. He believes in you!
Jesus wants you to believe in others, too. Encourage them to achieve the potential you see in them to do great things for God. That’s why He says you need to help others through faith.
Peace in the Lord,
