"God's Love is Deep Enough!"
“The Lord reached down from above and took hold of me; He pulled me out of the deep waters.” Psalm 18: 16 TEV
All of us have experienced those times when we think, “I’m going under for the last time! I’m about to sink!” No matter how deep you are God’s love is deeper than your problem.
Corrie and Betsy ten Boom were Christians who lived in the Netherlands during WWII. Their family hid Jews in their home to protect them from the Nazi’s. When they were discovered, their family was taken to the concentration came along with those they were hiding.
They spent the rest of the war there. After watching one atrocity after another, Corrie told her sister, Betsy, “This place is the pit of hell.” Betsy replied, “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not made deeper.”
Perhaps in the last few months you may have hit bottom financially and thought, “I’m going to be broke?” Or your marriage has hit bottom, or you’re having health problems. You’re frustrated and you can’t help but think, “I’m going under and I may not come back up.”
Where is God when you hit bottom like this? The answer to that question is always, He’s there right beside you. He’s there underneath you. He is “your refuge and His everlasting arms are underneath you.” (Deuteronomy 33: 27b NLT)
So what should you do? Drop into His arms of love. Let Him catch you and support you when you have nothing else you can do and nowhere else you can go. Remember, His love is deep enough!
Peace in the Lord,
