"Whose Voice are You Listening To?"
“Start with God – the first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning.”
Proverbs 1: 7 MSG
Have you ever noticed when you share a goal with somebody that they start telling you how it’s unlikely that you will succeed? They might tell you that you should forget about it.
What are they planting in your head? Doubt. There is an antidote to the voices of doubt. Listen to God. Can you imagine what the people said to Noah as he built that ark?
So how could Noah keep going? He listened to God and he obeyed. He heard God telling him that the world was going to be destroyed in a flood. He believed what he had not yet seen.
That’s what faith is, being certain of something we don’t see. So, no matter what people said to him, Noah just kept building. He didn’t turn his back on the vision God had given Him.
God has given you a goal for your life. Some people may think it’s pretty crazy. That’s fine, just stay focused on what you know God has said through His Word. There’s something to be built, it may not be an ark, but it will be something that serves God.
Peace in the Lord,
