"When You Hit A Detour,
Don't Give Up"

“God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to Him.”  2 Chronicles 16: 9 MSG

There is only one thing you can be sure of when God gives you a mission.  You’ll run into delays, difficulties, detours and dead ends along the way.  They’re a natural part of life but if you’re not ready for them they may stop you right in your tracks.

Do you remember how long it took Noah to build the ark?  120 years.  If that wouldn’t discourage you, what would?  Even worse, there was not any encouragement from anyone as he built.  Can you imagine what his neighbors might be saying to him?

So why did Noah keep going?  He believed God.  God told him there was going to be a flood.  He trusted what God said.  If you check back in Genesis there had been no rain on the world for a long time so talking about a flood in the middle of a desert doesn’t make sense.  Noah never gave up.

Don’t give up on your dreams, either.  Don’t give up when you hit a rough spot in your job, your marriage or your relationships.  Don’t forget God is in control.  He’s still writing the chapters of your life.  You just haven’t read them yet.

God is looking for people committed to Him and His plan so that He can bless them.  Don’t you want to be one of those people?  Then don’t give up!

Peace in the Lord,

Pastor Don
