"Change Requires New Thinking"
“With the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.”
Ephesians 4: 23 NLT
You’re not going to change until the way you think and the attitude you have changes. To do that you need to spend some time with God.
One of the choices you can make is to spend more time in the Bible, meditation and devotions. If you don’t do that, you’re not going to have the power to change.
Do you know what the theological term for “change of mind” is? It’s repentance. It comes from the Greek word, “metanoia.” It means to change your mind.
If you think about it, God is always calling us to change: from death to life, sin to forgiveness, guilt to peace of mind, hell to heaven, my way to God’s way. The most important change you will make in life is turning back to God.
In that change you get a new way of thinking. Philippians 2: 5 says, “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.” Are you thinking like Jesus right now? What will you do today to help you think more like Jesus and less like you?
The more you all the Holy Spirit to fill your mind with the Word of God, the easier that’s going to be.
Peace in the Lord,
